Basic Emotion - Joy

Emotion is like the blood of all living animals. It is there since we were born and become a part of us. But we never question the emotion itself. We always question and challenge the source causing your joy, anger, surprise, fear, etc. Lots of questions came to my mind since I realize I never get to know emotion. So I want to bring this knowledge into wearable jewellery, where people can understand it more.
What is Joy?
Joy is one of the basic emotions. According to the dictionary, it is "the emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying."

heat-shrink sheets, UV resin, fishing line, pigment (resin pearl pigment powder, chalk pastel, metallic silver acrylic paint)

Where does joy come from?
Emotions come from our brains. They evoke here and rapidly transfer to our whole body to have different reactions through the nervous system. The basic unit of the nervous system is the neuron.

How do we experience joy?
We will first be stimulated by something we see or felt. Then this stimulation will evoke the emotion, joy. After a few seconds, the emotion will transfer to mood and last longer. During this transaction, you will lose or strengthen the same emotions or completely change to another one.
