My name is Yucan Liang, you can call me Emily.

I’m a Toronto-based jewellery designer who recently graduated from OCADU. My jewellery style is between storytelling and a scientific perspective. I believe jewelleries are alive, and they are communicating with us. We can hear their mumbling and give them another story by our personal experience.

I used to design with silver but also love to explore new materials. The series Basic Emotion - Joy uses the new materials: heat-shrink plastic sheets and UV resin as main materials, which is the solution to the inability to enter the studio.
